REMINGTON 11-87 SEMI-AUTOMATIC 12G SHOTGUN.

12 Gauge Semi-Automatic Remington model 11-87 Shotgun …. In what was, when done, a none UK available Hydro Dip REAL TREE APG pattern. Agreed, that raises the question of how did it manage to happen then but ‘things happen’! Personally I like it, it is unusual and it is something I have not seen anywhere else. Basically a Dark Grey / Black and Green pattern and should blend in exceptionally well out in our British countryside. Especially through winter months when its often just as dark, grey and black! The ‘bit of green’ can see you over Christmas period. Bear in mind this cost £170 to have professionally done too.

AS SUCH VERY LIKELY ACTUALLY UNIQUE HERE IN THE UK. BUY THIS AND ITS THE ONLY ONE!

Compact 25 ½” (650mm) Multi-Choke barrel with the stock currently at a pull length of 13 ¾” (350mm). Overall the gun measures 45 ¾” (1162mm) and weighs in at a sturdy 7 Lbs 11 ¼ oz (3.495 kg). It is also 3 ½” (89mm) chamber.

The gun was originally supplied by me to its single previous owner. Brian, my retired business partner. Sadly his days shooting are now at an end. In reality most of his personal guns saw little use, this included. He generally had others away to test fire pre sales listing or post repair for customers!
Along with other guns also getting listed for sale. As such nothing got excessive use. Apart from anything else there were few and far between ‘red letter’ days anyway!

This is a prime example as its still in near MINT condition. I even have the original box and paperwork if memory serves. Pretty sure its in the workshop loft so DO ask / remind me. The gun comes with 2 chokes. Modified and Full, both detailed as suitable for steel or lead.

As to the gun: Both the 11-87 as well as their 1100’s are known around the world to shoot and cycle just about ANY cartridge out there. Light or heavy and faultlessly. It was certainly a big reason why he chose one. Take a second look at the weight aspect. OK, perhaps not the best option if your shooting involves miles of walking. However, in a slip on a shoulder, even out on a foreshore the extra pound or so is a minimal factor considering everything else that goes. On the other side it SHOULD point and indicate to a gun made to last…. and last….. and last. They certainly do. Also FAR from a cheap gun when new. (From memory the realistic retail when new and you could still get one was £860)! Quite why they can be so inexpensive second hand is actually unfare. However, its not me setting that stage. I just have to play to its audience.

This WILL make anyone a gun for life, regardless of how much shooting you actually manage to do. It is short enough to work well in a hide (why he actually bought it) but also allow for those long shots at anything, icluding geese etc. Its also, as detailed, quite possibly unique on these shores.

£499.99

THAT INCLUDES the Hydro Wrap cost on top of the original price.

NO IDEA why Remington shotguns do not command a higher pre-used price. CERTAINLY expensive enough to buy new and also GREAT guns that offer up little other then flawless performance. That with just about ANY cartridge you want to try.
