Parker Hale 1200 Deluxe Bolt Action Sporting Rifle in the ever popular and versatile .308. The rifle is a clean enough example with the original blueing to the metal work. Still in very good condition for the age of the gun other than a small patch right at the muzzle. Threading at the existing 23 ½” (597mm) barrel will completely remove this. Even without shortening and we do offer this service in house at a reduced rate when you buy from us.
Weighing in at 7Lbs 2oz (3.225Kg) and an overall length of 44 5/8” (1133mm). The Walnut Stock has a 14” (355mm) pull length and a good Strong Straight grain with ‘Skip or Fox Cut’ Chequering. ALWAYS a nice feature for me that really sets a gun off well. The Rosewood Pistol grip cap and Forend Tip add even more. A Raised Roll Over Cheek Piece just finishes the Classic English Style Stalking Rifle completely.
Also bear in mind that from my own experience these older guns can still produce a group to rival most things brand-new today. They also came from England’s foremost and biggest production gun manufacturer from a time when our engineering and steel was the envy of the world.
