.243 Parker Hale 1200C (DETACHABLE CLIP MAGAZINE) Bolt Action Rifle. A RARE option with the drop out magazine as most people did not want to pay the extra cost when new.
Original 23 ½” (596mm) None Threaded Barrel still retaining the open ‘v’ sights. These actually seem to be coming back into ‘fashion’! People (TRUE Sportsmen) are getting sick and tired of STUPID capability scopes sat on top. They leave very little to chance and remove the requirement of high skill and fieldcraft. Obviously the barrel can be threaded and done in our own workshop at a reduced rate if needed.
14 3/8” (365mm) Pull to the Light coloured Maple Walnut Stock. That with some Good Colour Contrast toward the Butt. Otherwise a Good Strong Straight Grain right through the grip. Rosewood tip to Forend and Grip Cap along with Skip / Fox Cut Chequering and Roll Over Cheek Piece. All three always add that little touch of class / finish for me and this IS the Deluxe 1200 model so as it should be.
Overall the bare rifle tips in at 7 Lbs 9 ½ oz (3.449 Kg) and a length of 44 5/8” (1133mm).
A few light blemishes to the woodwork but generally EXCELLENT overall condition. Especially given the age this will now be even if it was the last rifle produced.
This did arrive with a bi-pod attached direct to the Rosewood Forend. As such there is a secondary hole an inch or so in front of the sling stud. It also has an after-market Trigger Upgrade too.
