Apparently German in origin so can’t be bad. The rifle itself has a few subtle and ‘nice touches’ to set it that little bit apart. Certainly a nicely made gun and way above the usual everyday ‘run of the mill’ offerings.
I assume no connection with the ‘St Hubert’s Club’ or St Hubertus, the Patron Saint of Hunting. Not a great deal of information so far as to exactly who manufactures these either. But one did sell in the US a while ago for over $900 through Rock Island Auctions! It did have a stable mate in the form of a converted / sportified military Mauser. It’s anyone’s guess as to what actually pulled the interest.
Anyway a classicly styled rifle with a pronounced raised cheek piece. It even has a little raised and fielded area to accommodate the bolt release. Rosewood tips just show the extra bit of thought and effort in the design and production.
At present the 23 ½” barrel is uncut for a sound moderator. This can be done ‘in house’ at a reduced rate for anyone buying the rifle. Stock pull length is a 14 ½”. With its fully adjustable double set (hair) trigger option this is a great little rifle. It is also in the most versatile calibre ever created. Just check out the range of bullet weights and performances!
