12G Single Selective Trigger, Side Plated Box Lock Multi-Choke Ejector Magnus Jaspe Shotgun from Caesar Guerini, Italy. BASICALLY A BRAND NEW GUN.
30” (760mm) Multi-Choke Barrels with 3” (75mm) Magnum Capable Chambers and topped with a ¼” (6mm) Ventilated Game Rib. Single Brass Front Sighting Bead. A LONG original 14 5/8” (373mm) HIGHLY Decorative, Well Patterned Stock Rounded Prince of Wales Pistol Grip. Well matched Forend finished with Schnable Tip. All Chequering is as clean as the day it was finished. Even to the Walnut Butt Plate. Overall the gun measures 47 ¼” (1200mm) and tips scales at 7 Lbs 7 ½ oz (3.391 kg).
The Action is plain and none engraved but finished in Deep Dark Colour Case Hardening. Beautifully setting off a Gold Inlay Duck in Flight to the Right Side Plate and matching Pheasant to the Left. Blacking to the barrels and Trigger Guard is all still as new too. Comes complete with its original Branded Hard Carry Case and even the two velvet slips these guns came supplied with.
For more evidence of just how little use so far the Engine Turning to Chamber Block Sides is unmarked and zero ware to the Gold Washed Trigger. THE TWO easiest BY FAR ways to quickly check for use to date.
He had other guns used for clay and pigeon shooting and this was the mans ‘Pride and Joy’. He actually lived opposite and a good friend to Brian, my retired and now departed Business partner.
