BSA 12g SIDE BY SIDE BOXLOCK EJECTOR SHOTGUN.

A great example of a 12g Side by Side Boxlock Ejector shotgun from BSA (who were, at one time, the biggest motor cycle manufacturer in the world)! They were a PROLIFIC English company making a huge variety of items. The name still lives on to this day, producing great air rifles but shotguns and section one firearms stopped back in the 80s (from memory).

A shame but yet another GREAT and Iconic British company that went because of cheaper and realistically better / more desirable imports.

The gun itself should make anyone looking for a classic English side by side shotgun more than happy. Traditional game configuration with 2 ½” chambers and 30” ‘JESSOPS FLUID PRESSED STEEL BARRELS’ with fixed chokes at cylinder and ¾. The double triggered, UNUSUAL GLOSS BROWN finished action sits into a Straight Hand Grip 14 ¾” Stock with the inch recoil pad included and the chequering is still quite crisp. With the traditional Piled Arms Logo to each side it’s a very recognisable gun and though there is some very slight play on the action it still closes with a very positive and firm ‘clunk’!

Only other thing to mention is a very minor dent to the l/h barrel approx. 6” below the muzzle where the gun has obviously, at some time, slipped over and hit something. It is still fine to shoot and will be for many years to come. There is VERY little to see on the bore. 7 lbs dead (3.184 Kg).

I do have another example of the same gun in a slightly more worn condition though the action on that has zero play.
