As some of you already know I think these little rifles are a Complete Design Classic. I have been trying to get a delivery organized for the basic / standard models. However, they are once again not an option for Europe and the UK.
The last possible order being these: A small number of Grade V1 / Grade Six examples. Thankfully they have finally arrived.
These come with a Grey Nitrite finish to the barrel and action. Also Custom Shop Engraved and Inlayed. Each action face has a Foliage pattern design which also adorns the top rear section. Set within the pattern is a Dog (looks more like a Wolf) chasing a Rabbit to the Left Side. A Fox and Squirrel to the right and a Retriever Dogs Head and neck to the top. All highlighted and finished in ‘Gold’.
The 19 ½” (495mm) Barrel and a Pull length an 1/8” short of 14” (353mm). Overall finishing at 37” (940mm) and weighing in at 5 Lbs 2 ½ oz (2.34 Kg).
The barrel is also pre-drilled and tapped to take a Weaver rail or similar. Ready for mounts and a scope of your choice. They are also just about the only truly AMBIDEXTROUS Semi-automatic rim fire rifle available. The ejection port at the bottom. As such, empty cartridge shells ejecting straight down. Not hitting or flying across in front of a left handed shooters face as usually happens.
With an integral stock mounted tubular magazine its also just about impossible to lose. Unlike most other box type. Disengage the push rod, pull back to a stop position and load through the port to the stock face. OR pull it out completely and feed new ammunition straight into the magazine tube.
Now I appreciate that is not insignificant to a lot of people who shoot. However, it is not that much more than the circa £749 a standard example cost. Especially given the additional features and work involved. Whoever does spend that bit extra will have a rifle just about no one else will see. Let alone possess here in the UK.
