NOW, to TRY and help speed up availability I WILL also suggest that YOU pass on details to everyone you know who shoots. Then ALL of us start to ask whoever we buy from why they are not DEMANDING cartridges made in this material? Basically VOTE with your WALLET.
YES, it will take a little time for everything to filter through but patience IS a virtue. It also allows everyone who wants to keep hold of their ‘old favourite’ for the rest of their lives. Even pass it on to the next generation and hopefully beyond!
On that note I AM looking into the possibility of stocking some direct from Steve at Hortons. RING for an update and keep checking the web site.
BACK TO THE GUN: ….. Apparently a single carefull owner from new. Chequeringis almost ‘flat’ but the lines are still apparent so relatively easily re-cut if wanted. The action still retains 70 – 80% of its original Colour Case Hardening to each side but the bottom is all but gone.Obvioulsy carried about broken open in the hand quite a bit. Concave Rib with a single brass sight bead. Strong and Straight Grain with some pattern and colour contrast too. Automatic safety and barrels still tight to the action. The usual Striker Discs to action face for easier pin replacement.
Yes, a ‘none ejector’ but SO WHAT? 95% and more do NOT actually have a real need or actual want for spent cases to go flying. The vast majority of us ALWAYS open the gun and put the palm of our hand over to stop then doing so! I COULD go on but won’t. If your looking you already understand the points I have made for MANY years about ejectors. If you insist on having them then you wont be looking!
