ANSCHUTZ .222 MODEL 1740 BOLT ACTION RIFLE.

CLASSIC Model 1740 Bolt Action .222 Rifle from that EVER SOUGHT AFTER German Icon, Anschutz.

23 5/8” (600mm) original barrel to a trigger pull length of approx. 14 1/8” (358mm). Overall it currently measures to 42 ½” (1080mm) and weighs in bare at 6 Lbs 15 oz (3.144 Kg).

Traditional Roll Over Cheek Piece so definitely little use from the left shoulder without significant alteration. Strong, Tight and Straight Grained stock running right through up to the Schnable style Forend. Some additional figuring to the left side of the stock too.

Single Fully Adjustable Match Grade Trigger to set up to suit you perfectly.

Detachable Magazine and the Bolt Mounted with a Low Level Safety as well as Built In Cocking Indicator.

A few Very minor / light blemishes to the woodwork but metal work is near brand new to look at. Standard width Dovetail to the top of the action and the usual High Grade Skip / Fox Cut Chequering. Always a nice feature to me. I just think it adds to the aesthetics and makes for a much nicer looking gun. Just take a look at the Bolt handle if unsure. Its ALWAYS one of the first places to show any wear. This is still near new with near enough all of its original finish.

It’s also in a SUPERB little .22 Centre Fire Cartridge. Even without the these days obligatory sound moderator its near recoilless and not particularly loud. If you must have one fitted its an easy enough and discounted job done in our own on site workshop.
