ANSCHUTZ 1416-1417 RIGHT HANDED THUMBHOLE DELUXE RIFLE STOCK.

PRE-USED Right Handed Thumbhole Deluxe Stock for Anschutz 1416 and 1417 Bolt Action Rifles. .22 or .17 calibre. Fox Cut or Skip Chequering is always a nice feature to set a stock apart. Highly Decorative Walnut with Good High Grade Grain Pattern and Colour Contrast. This IS actually an older stock going back to the Frank Dyke / Anschutz era. Take a look at the floor plate inlet and you will see it has a small border all the way around. Back then Anschutz did not offer a Thumbhole stock option so Frank had them specially made for the UK market. However, the floor plate spec. was incorrect when the actual barrelled actions arrived from Germany. As such the stocks had to returned to the UK manufacturer and this work carried out.

A little quality stock oil. A fair degree of elbow grease. You will bring out all of the pattern and make a STUNNING piece of wood. Inch recoil pad pre-fitted and should give a pull length circa 14 to 14 ½” (355 – 370mm).
