You can send in an email or call with details of anything SPECIFIC you are looking for. This is a service I have actually offered for a long time AND with some success. Especially for more unusual items.
Now LIVE on the Web Site it will be an evolving category. As more of you find this option and hopefully / presumably make use of it the time commitment and effort to load adverts DOES have to be covered. As such there will be a fee to pay.
In addition I do also expect to make a commission on any successful outcome.
MOST ITEMS will only get listed if there is sufficient value to warrant doing so.
PLEASE be sensible with any requests and bear this in mind.
Anyone with a matching item that they ARE willing to part with PLEASE bear in mind I will only entertain SENSIBLE valuations.
OFTEN people consider things worth far more than they actually are. Just because someone wants something it does not mean they are happy to pay excessively. If you think it is worth more then by all means sell whatever it is yourself. That way YOU get every last penny. You also get the fun and games, the expense and put the effort in to do it so actually deserve it.
This particular piece is the SPRUNG STEEL ARM that attaches the Top Pivoting Half / Section to the Fixed Rifle Mounted Bracket. As showing (as best I could capture) these have two holes and measure to approx. 1” x ½” (25mm x 12mm). To the BACK of one of the holes it has a Small Raised Ridge running ACROSS. If you look at the last image of the TWO HALVES of the sight you will see where this RAISED RIDGE ‘Engages’ and Spring back into their matching recesses on the front of the top half. That basically engages and HOLDS the Pivoting Top Half of the Sight to stay in place. Either Raised whilst in use OR dropped / folded down along side the action when not.
Appreciate that anyone with a sight or used one in the past and the explanation is likely surplus to requirement. However for someone out there who has one and very possibly more simply sat collecting dust. Languishing in a shed / garage and no idea what its off its more for you.
I realise it’s another proverbial ‘needle in a haystack’. However, IF you don’t know I am looking its even less likely you will get in touch. Let alone asking if I know what it is or want it!
Thank you for looking. Hopefully one (or more) will turn up.
