EXCELLENT Condition Bolt Action Model L579 Sako Rifle in the EVER CLASSIC .308 Calibre. THE MOST VERSATILE round ever created. This calibre will shoot bullets from 70 right through to 220Gr Heads. Probably even more these days. As such, if you want only one rifle this should be your ‘go to’ calibre.
23 ¾” (580mm) All original barrel still complete with Quick Slide Ramp Adjustable Open / Iron Sights. Graduated in 20 yard / meter (5) units out to 200 then 25 (4) from 200 – 500 yards / meters.
Metal work, bore and finish in Excellent Condition given this rifle dates to circa 1968 – 69 production. In reality YET ANOTHER ‘Sleeper’ I just love to find and get back into circulation. Standard Hinged Floor Plate magazine and the usual Knurled Pattern Bolt Knob.
It also appears to have had a dioptre type sight fitted at some time too. The action drilled, tapped and currently fitted with blanking grub screws for the bracket mount.
Stock supplies a pull at 14” (355mm) with a Good Strong Straight Grain and a Nice band of colour contrast. 42 5/8″ (1083mm) Overall Length and weighing in at 7 Lbs 1/2 oz. (3.189 Kg).
