Replacement Model 1000 Rifle stock to take ANY Parker Hale STANDARD ACTION (.243 / .308 etc.) length rifle. These were the starting point model options with no Rosewood grip cap or forend tip. The actual rifle from an original 1200 Deluxe model is exactly the same and basically a Mauser copy.
As such any Mauser 98 may well simply drop in or require minimal fitting etc.
The stock has been well refinished, though not by me and is all but as new condition. A hard Plastic butt plate as opposed to the original. Sling swivels as well as the Recoil bar are also required. Looking in the original 73/4 catalogue it shows the MAGNUM options with the Recoil bar detailed and standard calibres without. As with most of the pre-used stocks I list many have zero actual detail when they arrive. The ONLY WAY you can be 100% certain it will be suitable is to basically try your rifle into it and physically CHECK. Often stocks may require a little ‘final fitting’ to accommodate your gun. YOU make that decision and if not happy then no problem sending it back BEFORE any alteration/s.
The timber itself is a Good Strong Straight Grained example. Action Screw are at approx. 7 ¾” (200mm) centres.
