Model 70 Feather Weight Classic .270 Bolt Action Rifle from Winchester Arms. Pretty original and one owner from new. 19 ¾” (500mm) Light Sporting weight barrel now with a 14x1mm Metric Thread.
Somewhat oddly done as excessively long. I wonder if it originally came with or was used for a muzzle break rather than sound moderator? It IS also slightly over-sized. I suggest you either buy your sound moderator here or bring it with you. That way I can ensure it fits properly. Easily reduced and recrowned in our own workshop if need be.
Strong Straight Grained American Walnut Stock offering a pull of 13 ¾” (350mm). Finished with the Classic and always Eye Catching Chequering Design. Overall the rifle comes in at just under 41” (1037mm) and weighs in 6 Lbs 12 oz (3.063 Kg) bare.
No real marks or blemishes worth mention to metal work or timber. The jewelling to the bolt shaft is showing signs of use but it usually never lasts long anyway. The blueing to the Full Length Extractor and Knurled Bolt Knob both with only light signs of much use too.
