Description

REVO 12G ‘DUO’ COMBO PUMP ACTION / SEMI-AUTOMATIC SHOTGUN.

Virtually UN-USED Standard SHOTGUN (Section TWO) 12g Semi-Automatic AND Pump Action Revo Duo Combo. Usually available as a Section One Firearm only this HAS been restricted as well as submitted to Birmingham Proof. It comes supplied with relevant paperwork detailing the Magazine Restriction Certificate. NO small fee attached for THAT small thing! Basically the previous owner went through all that and decided shooting was not for him…

Anyway, as detailed, it DOES now open the gun up for anyone with a standard Shotgun Certificate to purchase.

24” (610mm) Multi Choke Barrel and comes as originally supplied with a single Flush Fitting option at a loose ½ restriction. Also the External Ported 1 ½” (40mm) Extension (showing) Muzzle break option attached. This one basically at wide open / cylinder and originally for shooting solid slug etc. The Black Synthetic Stock offers up a Full Pistol Grip with a 14 7/8” (377mm) Pull. This also comes with Anti-Slip Rubberised Grip areas. A Corn Cob Style Forend also offers up a great anti-slip precise hold too. All that offers up an overall length of either 45 ¾” (1162mm) with the flush choke. 47 ¼” (1200mm) Ported. Scales tip out at 7 Lbs 11 ½ oz (3.5 Kg).

Switching from one format to another is a simple matter of twisting the Lock Ring positioned at the front of the forend. Look closely at the images and you should notice a small thumb and finger ‘stop’ at each side. There is also a small metal hook showing at the bottom. Its literally an 1/8th of a turn twist to swap it from Semi-Auto to Pump Action format. DONE!

ALL Black finish the gun comes with a Picatinny Style Rail already fitted. It’s actually attached to a STANDARD width Dovetail machined to the action housing. As such its possible to fit just about any Scope, Red Dot or other style Sighting Unit easily. Currently sports a Fully Adjustable Rear Open / Iron ‘V’ Sight to work in with the raised front High Viz Red Sight Bead. I assume this will unscrew if the open sights are not wanted to swap out with a Red Dot etc. Fixed Carry Sling Point at the junction of the action to stock. The matching front operating on a swivel ring fitted to the Magazine Tube. Cross Action Safety positioned immediately forward of the trigger. A couple of absolutely miniscule marks and not even sure if it has actually been fired. All I can smell is original factory / production oil residue!

YES, 3” (75mm) Magnum Camber AND CIP Fleur de Lisle STEEL SHOT PROOF but WHY bother? Personally I will NEVER put Steel through any shotgun of mine as I do want and expect to get more than a few short years of use from them.

THIS has a reduced magazine capscity AND through proof etc. AND ‘Tactical’ option so:

As for the Lead Sh-t ‘FIASCO’? READ ON:

THERE ARE more and more None Toxic Shot alternatives being produced. WITH near matching performances to traditional lead and close to, if not matching pressures. Take a look at Horton Gunmakers for their own entry into this debacle of modern day shooting. IF its so lethally deadly to shooters and game eaters how is it every old lead water main supply pipe is not getting ripped out and replaced? To my mind it’s a DISGRACE that the shooting industry did not simply ask that one simple question. NO, they saw an excuse to charge a fortune and that mainly to the detriment of the quarry. Just my opinion …..for what its worth?

Anyway, take a look for yourself:

NOW, to TRY and help speed up availability I WILL also suggest that YOU pass on details to everyone you know who shoots. Then ALL of us start to ask whoever we buy from why they are not DEMANDING cartridges made in this material? Basically VOTE with your WALLET.

YES, it will take a little time for everything to filter through but patience IS a virtue. It also allows everyone who wants to keep hold of their ‘old favourite’ for the rest of their lives. Even pass it on to the next generation and hopefully beyond!

On that note I AM looking into the possibility of stocking some direct from Steve at Hortons.                                                     RING for an update and keep checking the web site.
