English Sporting Rifle, Hand Built by Norman Clark of Rigby in 7×57
( same caliber as .275 Rigby ).
The Rigby designation was attached to it because it was John Rigby’s favourite caliber ( for good reason ).
Sometimes referred to as the ‘ ladies ‘ caliber because of the generally low recoil for what is a fare sized round it is easy to shoot.
For those out there who prefer to feel like they are being kicked every time you squeeze the trigger then this is not the rifle for you.
For those out there who think more of their shoulder then I suggest you give one a try. I shoot one myself and its a pleasure to use.
This is actually built on a TRUE COMMERCIAL Mauser action. Hand-built on a Deutsch Waffen-und Munition Fabriken Berlin Mauser 96 action so easily imported to the US as no ‘military’ thumb cut away to the left of the action.
That alone is worth a small fortune these days !
