100 Year Centenary Celebration Limited Edition Marlin Model 39 Under-Lever .22 Rim-Fire Rifle.

A SERIOUSLY RARE OPPORTUNITY FOR ANY MARLIN ENTHUSIAST OR COLLECTOR.

Given THAT ran from 1870 through to 1970 it apparently / LOGICALLY puts the gun at 54 years old already! Unfortunately VERY limited information on these particular rifles readily available on line. As such ANYONE out there with ACCURATE knowledge / details DO PLEASE get in touch.

A FANTASTIC Birthday present for anyone born in 1970. OR just TREAT YOURSELF for being a 70’ child!?

The rifle comes with an Octagonal 20” (508mm) Barrel. Stock pull at 13 3/8” (340mm) to the inside of the Concave Butt. Together offering up a Maximum Overall Length of 36 3/8” (923mm) from Muzzle to Top of Butt. Scales tip out at 5 Lbs 5 ¼ oz (2.415 kg).

The Stock features a currently lightly pinned on Brass Commemorative Plaque. Detail shows ’39 Centenary Ltd 100 Marlin Years. Also inset to the Right side of the action is a small ‘coin / medal’ depicting a Mounted Cowboy on a Horse along with MARLIN and the dates 1870 and 1970 again.

An Easy Take Down Version for simple stripping and or cleaning etc. The barrel FULLY Engraved with Manufacturers details and Model to the R/H top slope. The Left with Calibre Details showing .22S, L & LR. As such chambered to shoot .22 Shorts, .22 Long and the usual .22 LR (Long Rifle) ammunition. Basically what anyone here usually shoots but nice to know it is set up for options.

ALL in near IMMACULATE / AS NEW Condition. This arrived along with 2 others from the same person. A Henry .357 – .38 as well as a Winchester .22 WMR. Basically a small portion of a GREAT collection. None shot a lot and some not fired at all since brand new. The Gold Wash to the trigger is Very marginally showing light wear. However, I suspect more from simply trying the action than live rounds actually going through. MOST likely from sweat / oil never wiped away after holding the thing! It IS as close to BRAND NEW you will find. At least not unless you stumble onto someone else who is also an avid collector. SADLY no original box or paperwork on this one either.

Stock Woodwork has a Strong Straight Grain with some reasonable Contrast and Pattern. The ENTIRE rifle with Absolutely Minimal use marks. What there is NEEDS LOOKING for!
