BROWNING ULTRA XS BL IWA SPECIAL 12G OVER AND UNDER SHOTGUN.

BRAND NEW IWA 2022 Trade Fair Special Edition 12g Browning Ultra XS ‘BL’ Black Laminate Over and Under Shotgun. YES, ordered before the end of March 2022 and as with most of these Special Editions they don’t arrive until late the same year. Basically, as Specials, they only start production once the Limited / Time Sensitive Order period closes. I.E. the end of March each year. That still leaves a long time until I have bothered to post the gun advert. I do tend to simply put these Rare Options on the shelf for customers in the shop. Its also somewhat pointless advertising immediately as any other dealers tend to fight to get a gun sold at the lowest possible level. Even now its SERIOUSLY WELL BELOW RRP so please do not ask for any more discount. If you want it buy it. If not simply move on.

30” (760mm) Hand Screw in Multi-Choke Barrels with 3” (75mm) Magnum Chambers. Chokes add an additional 1” (25mm). The Ventilated ½” (12mm) Rib with Cross Cut Matt finish to a third at either side and In Line Ribbing to the middle. A smaller White Mid Bead to align with the High Viz Green Front.

Grey / Black Laminated Stock with Fully Adjustable Cheek Rest. Height, Cast and even Lateral Twist are all EASILY achieved with a single Hidden Locking Screw. A small hole in the Recoil pad allows access with a supplied Allen Key. The Pull is Easily Adjustable with the Trigger Blade mounted on a slide. It currently measures 14 7/8” (375mm) but has approx. 3/8” (10mm) travel either way. Combined this should allow the gun to be set up PERFECTLY for just about any shooter.

Overall the gun currently measures 48 ¼” (1225mm) and weighs in at a Solid 8Lbs 7oz (3.823 Kg).

A Simple Plain Matt ‘Bright’ Finished Action with nothing more than the Model Detail and the usual Browning Stag Logo to the Trigger Guard. Just a ‘NO NONSENSE’ gun to take and DO ‘the business’ with! Forend features a wider than usual for a SOLID and Very Positive Grip.

The gun also easily sets up for Manual or Automatic Safety.

Comes complete with its Branded Hard Case, Paperwork and All Accessories etc.

YES, CIP Fleur de Lisle, steel shot approved but WHY would you? NO WAY I will EVER send steel through any shotgun REGARDLESS of proof stamps!

WORRIED ABOUT STEEL SH-T FIASCO IN GENERAL? DO PLEASE READ ON:

With this ‘Modern Day’ example there is actually no need as it IS Fleur de Lisle / Steel Shot compatable. However WHY WOULD YOU? It’s NOT something I would put through any gun.

THERE ARE more and more None Toxic Shot alternatives being produced. WITH near matching performances to traditional lead and close to, if not matching pressures. Take a look at Horton Gunmakers for their own entry into this debacle of modern day shooting. IF its so lethally deadly to shooters and game eaters how is it every old lead water main supply pipe is not getting ripped out and replaced? To my mind it’s a DISGRACE that the shooting industry did not simply ask that one simple question. NO, they saw an excuse to charge a fortune and that mainly to the detriment of the quarry. Just my opinion …..for what its worth?

Anyway, take a look for yourself:

NOW, to TRY and help speed up availability I WILL also suggest that YOU pass on details to everyone you know who shoots. Then ALL of us start to ask whoever we buy from why they are not DEMANDING cartridges made in this material? Basically VOTE with your WALLET. YES, it will take a little time for everything to filter through but patience IS a virtue. It also allows everyone who wants to keep hold of their ‘old favourite’ for the rest of their lives. Even pass it on to the next generation and hopefully beyond!
On that note I AM looking into the possibility of stocking some direct from Steve at Hortons. RING for an update and keep checking the web site.
