BRNO .22 RIM-FIRE MODEL 5 BOLT ACTION RIFLE.

AN ABSOLUTELY REMARKABLE Condition Model 5 Bolt Action .22 Rim-Fire Rifle from BRNO ARMS from 1958! That’s older than me, past retirement age and should be pulling a pension. Anyone out there with the same ‘qualifications’? This will make an excellent companion for the range or still out in the field for pest and vermin control.

A 100% SLEEPER Category little Rifle. This has done little else than tucked away in a cabinet to still be in as almost As New Condition.

Strong Straight Grain running right through. From its original Branded Butt Plate right up to the Schable Forend. Its also fitted with a Flush inlet Unused Oval Escutcheon to the bottom. Chequering matches the rest of the gun and just about as New.

Its also got the original WIDER than standard Scope Mount Dovetail to the action top. At approx. 14-15mm wide it does need the correct scope rings if you want it to look 100% right. I have some to fit but they are still available too. Standard will go on but the scope then sits a couple of mm offset to the actual bore. Still works fine for ranges a .22 R/F operates but for what it is JUST get the right ones?

5 Grove Rifling to the bore and the Original ALL METAL 5 Round Detachable Magazine still with the rifle. New 10 round capacity after market options readily available too. The ONLY real blemish to detail being a rubbing mark just back from the front sling stud. Obviously from a leather or similar sling with a screw to fasten together. For some reason people do not seem to understand one side is generally flat and the other domed. The FLAT side goes toward the rifle / woodwork. By the time its tight its generally pulled into the sling material so its actually recessed. Then there is nothing left proud to rub against woodwork! A simple enough concept but sadly too few seem to understand or realise.

It will patch up with a little attention but unless its wanted for a collection its probably just best used as is.

Standard ½” x 20 TPI UNF all ORIGINAL 22 5/8” (575mm) LR (LONG RIFLE Calibre) Barrel. Stock pull measures to 13 5/8” (345mm) and marry to give an overall length of 40 7/8” (1038mm). Scales show a bare weight of 6 lbs 1 oz (2.743 Kg). Original Rear Open / Iron Sights still in place too. Consisting of a fixed position 50 yard / meter blade plus a flip up / down for 75 as well as 100 designated distance. There is even evidence / remnants of the original manufacturers packing grease to the back of the bolt!

A CLASSIC example of an Equally Classic Little Rifle. NO, its not the cheapest old BRNO / CZ out there. However its VERY Little money for what it is considering the age and condition. If you don’t agree then fine. I have plenty of other examples at circa half the price to choose from.
