28” (710mm) Fixed Choke Barrels at ½ and ¾ with 2 ¾” (70mm) Chambers. Tapering and Ventilated Top Rib running from approx. 3/8” to a ¼” at the muzzle (10 – 7 mm). Single brass front Sighting bead.
A long 14 5/8” (373mm) Stock pull bringing in an overall length of 45 3/8”. Tipping the scales at a Very Nicely Balanced 7 lbs 2 oz (3.239 Kg).
GREAT condition considering the age these guns now are. SUPERB QUALITY and WORKMANSHIP from start to finish. Classic Over and Under Gun from a very well respected and renowned manufacturer. Basically built on a Merkel Action and every bit as good. Generally all numbered up internally too which is usually only found on the VERY Best of the Best guns.
Trigger selector is mounted to the side of the trigger guard and simply moves forward or back depending on barrel choice. Bright finished Action, Profusely Engraved all round featuring rising Pheasants and a Dog on point to the left. Scroll Work and Makers name to the bottom and
Ducks in a natural habitat to the right. Manual Safety. The inside of the action where the barrels marry still retains near 100% original Colour Case Hardening too. Extremely Strong Triple Lock up with Cross Action Bolt Mechanism along with Cocking indicators built in.
A Good Strong and Straight Colourfully Grained Walnut Stock with still reasonably crisp chequering. All enhanced with some mild Cross Grain Tiger Stripe highlights. Three Piece Forend not often found as just more expense in production.
