22 ¼” (565mm) Threaded ½” UNF Sporting Weight none sighted Barrel complete with thread cap protector.
A Good Straight and Strong Grained Stock with some nice stripe contrast right through. Pull measures to 13 7/8” (352mm). That includes the extremely well fitted ¾” (19mm) after-market Kassnar HC 0151 Ventilated Recoil Pad. Obviously fitted for a little additional length than for the recoil which is none existent. Ambidextrous profile so good for Left or Right handed shot.
Overall the rifle is 40 ¾” (1035mm) long and weighs in bare at 6 Lbs 7oz (2.927 Kg).
Original Blueing is just about perfect with the condition of the Woodwork a VERY close second. I have seen rifles in worse condition from their first trip out shooting from new.

OK the ‘Glory Days’ are now passed for this cracker of a calibre. I remember the days when you could not find a rifle let alone ammunition. They ARE still a Fantastic calibre for LONG RANGE vermin / pest control on the smaller species. Also an extremely safe round to shoot in comparison with similar purpose guns. Bullets are that small and light, travelling circa 2350 ft/sec with a 20 grn head. Even faster with 17’s. As such they simply disintegrate if they come into contact with anything prior to target. Set these up with a suitable scope and they can be superb fun and fantastically effective near or far.
