UK Shipping for none Restricted items,
We use several shipping methods – where possible this includes tracking & must be signed for on delivery.
IF YOU REQUIRE INSURANCE OVER AND ABOVE THE STANDARD LEVELS PROVIDED BY THE COURIER (TO COVER THE FULL COST OF ANY ITEM NOT FULLY INDEMNIFIED UNDER THOSE LEVELS) IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO INSTRUCT / ADVISE US AND REQUEST ANY SUCH ADDITIONAL COVER (and pay for such).
For none restricted items we ONLY ship direct to the card holder address to comply with fraud prevention guidelines. For restricted items such as Air Rifles, Air Pistols, Shotguns (Section 2), Knives and Rifles (Section 1 Firearms) we are happy to arrange shipping to your local Registered Firearms Dealer for a face to face collection, as required by law. Actual shipping charges are worked out initially by weight and include all packaging. Due to certain size & weight restrictions on some shipping methods, we may change your shipping method prior to sending – options and prices will be discussed and agreed prior to shipping.
All of our shipping methods require a signature on delivery unless agreed – If you require delivery on a specific day, please contact us prior to ordering to see if we can TRY to arrange this for you. Once an item has been dispatched delivery is out of our control. We can accept no responsibility or liability for late or delayed delivery.
Courier Delivery – Normally next working day, but can take up to five working days – our courier shipment option, usually but not exclusively via Parcel Force, is by far the best value for large and / or heavy items.
Certain products cannot be shipped by Royal Mail. For example: Aerosols, Explosives etc. – these will be shipped by courier.
UK Shipping for Restricted items,
IF YOU REQUIRE INSURANCE IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO INSTRUCT / ADVISE US.
This can be provided at additional delivery cost and starts at £5 for £500 cover increasing in £500 units at £5 / £500 up to a maximum of £2500 (£25). Any higher level must be quoted for.
The Police are now insisting that the ‘letter of the law’ is followed. As such your certificate/s and legislation DOES actually stipulate that the SELLER of a gun must endorse the BUYERS certificate.
In the past all that dealers would do was send a gun on to a local trader after exchanging the relevant paperwork etc. and they would endorse the certificate and notify their relevant police authority. This is no longer acceptable.
In practice all it now means is that you will need to send your certificate to me (hopefully with a self-addressed envelope with whatever delivery option you prefer. Alternatively the certificate can be returned with the delivery). I still go through the same procedure to get the rifle to your local dealer but you then simply walk into their premises and present your certificate, suitably endorsed, and collect the gun or the certificate can be returned with the delivery etc.
With a PRE USED gun you are welcome to try it …. Just DON’T go mad! Half a round of clays with a shotgun / two or three, 3 or 5 round groups, through a rifle should be more than sufficient. If it’s not as described or suitable then let me know within the week / 10 days and it can come back.
As long as goods arrive back here in the same or better condition as they left I am happy to do a refund. Delivery charges and admin. costs at your expense. ANY repairs and / or cleaning required WILL be charged for and deducted from any refund.
We are happy to arrange International Shipping for any and all items including firearms to any country permitted under UK law at that particular time. Note: Should The UK Government impose any restriction or embargo during this process we accept no responsibility or liability for any loss occurring under such circumstance. Insurance cover is mandatory / insisted upon by our preferred International Shipping Agent and is charged at 1% value of goods (minimum £35).
Delivery times will vary depending on location, available options and the item/s. These will be advised and paid for prior to dispatch and can only be accepted as estimates as we have no control over a delivery once it has been dispatched.
Full gun storage facilities are offered – for full terms & conditions of storage, please click here / check that particular section within the web site or email for a copy.
